Highland Libraries are delighted to once again participate in the Inverness Book Festival.
A love of books, reading, learning and sharing lies at the very heart of what we do. We believe that you are never too young to enjoy reading and so are hosting events aimed at some of the Book Festival’s youngest participants.
In previous years we have hosted Bookstart Rhymetimes at the book Festival. Bookstart Rhymetime sessions are fun, free, friendly sessions for parents and children aged birth to three, incorporating books, rhymes, singing and play.
The Bookstart programme encourages all parents and carers to enjoy books with children from as early an age as possible. In partnership with Highland Libraries and other organisations Highland Children are given free books at around eight weeks, 18 months and three years old, along with guidance materials for parents and carers.
This year, at the Book Festival, Highland Libraries is delighted to announce that the Bookstart Bear has a surprise for children and families.
Highland Libraries events are FREE of charge but a ticket will be required as places are limited.
Please book at Box Office.
